faith no moreFaith No More is one of my favorite bands to emerge from the late 80’s scene especially with the multi-talented Mike Patton as their vocalist. Well, the band has made an announcement that is getting me super pumped for 2015. The band returned in 2009 after a 11 year hiatus to perform live shows which made all of us hope that maybe their would be talks of a new album. Earlier in 2014, the band teased the possibility of a new album and now it has been confirmed that the band will release their first disc in over 18 years in April of 2015. It will be the first record since 1997’s Album Of The Year and the band has teased a new song live already if you remember they performed a song called Motherf__er and it sounded amazing live giving us hope that the new album will be the talk of the town. Bassist Bill Gould recently spoke with Rolling Stone Magazine about the album and such, “We’ve always shared a chemistry between ourselves that’s unique to this band, but these past few years of touring together have made us aware that we not only play better as a unit, but we like the new stuff we’re coming up with. So we’ve decided: we’re going to get busy in 2015…make an album we’re proud of, kick things up a notch, get out there and perform it and maybe even dedicate a little more focus to our fans in the States this time.” The band is currently recording the album with Gould handling the production in Oakland, California. The album will be released on the band’s newly formed label Reclamation Records which will be distributed through Patton’s Ipecac Records. Check out a live performance below of the track Motherf***er and look for a special 7′ vinyl release of the track on the record store day black Friday edition on November 28TH.
