A couple of months ago, I was excited to hear that Exodus was reuniting with Steve “Zetro” Souza and that they were going to release the album Blood In, Blood Out which is their first with him since 2004’s Tempo Of The Damned. Then to get me even more excited than ever before, the band had announced that they worked with Kirk Hammett (who started his career in Exodus) who recorded a guest solo on a track. The track is called Salt The Wound and it’s everything any of you old school thrash fans or old school Exodus fans could possibly want. Steve “Zetro” Souza is on point and the band is playing better than ever. If you are a fan of Kirk Hammett then you will definitely be able to figure out exactly where he comes in on the track because those wah-wah sounds are unmistakable to the ear. There is also a reason why I respect Nuclear Blast as a label because they knew exactly what track to release to gain the attention of metal fans everywhere including myself. The album is slated to be released on October 14, the band is on tour with Suicidal Tendencies and Slayer, and the album also features a guest appearance from Chuck Billy of Testament on a track titled BTK.
