3906856-deadpool_the_gauntlet_1_preview_3There are a lot of people who have been waiting a long time to hear certain news when it comes to the next crop of superhero films. What do we know about 2016? Well, we know that Superman Vs Batman and the third Captain America film are going to be released in 2016, but now you can add another film to that year of releases. Deadpool, the mercenary¬†that appeared in the 2009 X-Men Origins: Wolverine film is going to get his own film which Fox has announced will be released into theaters on February 12, 2016. Deadpool first appeared in Marvel Comics back in 1991 when artist Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza first introduced him to us. Deadpool was portrayed by Ryan Reynolds in the X-Men film has been expected to play him again in this film, but there is still no deal in place as we speak. If he does take the job, it’ll be his first superhero film since that awful DC Comics Green Lantern role he had in 2011. We also already know that Fox is rebooting The Fantastic Four series before it sells all of it’s rights back to Marvel and they are also making a movie adaptation of Assassins Creed, the popular video game. Apparently, The Fantastic Four took Assassins Creed’s original release date of August 7, 2015 while Creed still doesn’t have an updated release date. Stay tuned here for more info as it becomes available.
