Local H is honestly one of those bands that I remember having a hit that was huge on rock radio stations back in the day, but the first time I heard them was on my Ozzfest 97 (I believe) CD Sampler that they always handed out every year back then. I remember hearing Bound For The Floor and thinking that it was one hell of a catchy tune from the Alt Rockers, but I have to admit that I never followed up on them. Well, the band is still together, but Scott Lucas remains the only original member left in the band at this current time and he has a brand new single for all of us to hear. The name of the track is called The Misanthrope which is off of the band’s upcoming disc Hey, Killer. The track starts off very slow before the band rocks you to the edge of your seat as drummer Ryan Harding drives the beat and Lucas rocks out on the guitar. Lucas recently spoke to Loudwire about the track and he said, “This was the first tune that we wrote for the record. Mixing Bauhaus, Pixies, and Moliere with lyrics about death and religion, it was already one of our darker songs. But this new version adds goth-y vocals and creepy piano to underscore the feeling of dread. Then we tried to make the chorus as catchy as possible — so you wouldn’t notice that the song is such a downer.” Hey, Killer is going to be released on April 14TH via G&P Records, but check out the track below for now:
