christopher_lee1When you think of Hammer films and the role of Dracula, you think of Sir Christopher Lee. When you think of the The Lord Of The Ring or The Hobbit franchise, you think of Sir Christopher Lee. When you think of the first episodes of Star Wars, you’ll think of Sir Christopher Lee, the iconic English born actor or at least I will. So, it is with great sadness that I report that Sir Christopher Lee has passed away at the age of 93 after suffering from heart and respiratory problems. The man was so iconic that he starred in 206 films (with one still scheduled for release), countless TV Movie, Miniseries, and Television show appearances, video games, and he even had a couple of metal albums that were released as well. The man accomplished everything in the film business with some of the film franchises I named above as well as the fact that he was a Bond villain in The Man With The Golden Gun. He also made appearances in some of my favorite films like Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Sleepy Hollow, Howling II: Your Sister Is A Werewolf, The Wicker Man, The Satanic Rite Of Dracula, Dracula A.D. 1972, The Mummy (1959), The Curse Of Frankenstein, The Face Of Fu Manchu, and so many more. The man spanned many generations and was an icon of film for not just your grandparents, but for their grand kids as well which is an amazing feet that not too many have accomplished since Sir Christopher Lee. He will be forever missed. R.I.P. Sir Christopher Lee (1922-2015)
