Troll 2There are movies in this world that were created just for the soul purpose of being included in Cheeseball Cinema and we will exploit those films. That is where our film for today fits into the scheme of things because the film was so bad that it was good for this. So, I present you all with Troll 2 which was the sequel to the first Troll film even though it shouldn’t have been. In the beginning of the film, Joshua’s (Michael Stephenson) dead Grandfather (Robert Ormsby) tells him a story about goblins and literally scares the kid before his mom interrupts and grandpa is gone. The next day, the family heads on their vacation where they’ll swap places with a family from a farm town known as Nilbog (Goblin spelled backwards). Even though Joshua is trying to warn them into leaving, they’ll ignore his cries until it’s almost too late. The film also stars George Hardy (Chosen) as Michael Waits, Margo Prey as Diana Waits, Connie Young (Read It And Weep) as Holly Waits, Deborah Reed (Halloweenville) as Creedence Leonore Gielgud, Jason Wright (Fields Of Gold) as Elliot, Darren Ewing (Return To Halloweentown), Jason Steadman (The Deaths Of Ian Stone) as Drew, and the film was directed by Claudio Fragasso (Zombi 3).

troll 2.2This very film was the story for a documentary that is available on Netflix called Best Worst Movie and it was directed by the man who played Joshua in Troll 2 in Michael Stephenson. It went from being rated the worst film of all time to be a cult classic that had a resurrection decades later with fans everywhere. I mean that every once in a while, the film is show on TV as well which is probably better than what it was getting before. Unfortunately, While I may not think its the worst movie ever made, I do think that it’s one of the cheesiest films. The film has a lot of flaws in it from some of the bad acting courtesy of the sister and the mom to some of the town’s folk and the Goblins are bad (some have eyes while most of the do not). What is up with Creedence as well, she goes one minute from looking like she has a bad case of herpes on her lips to an attractive women and back to the disaster the next. Some of the actions are just lame as well, but that is what was fun about this film or any other cheesy film ever made, you sit through it for some laughs. One thing is for sure and that is Robert Ormsby was brilliant as Grandpa and Michael Stephenson did a good job as josh as well. If you feel up to it, you should sit through and watch the film for yourself and experience the fun that was the best worst movie. On a scale of one being close to an A-List Hollywood film and five being the cheesiest film of all time, I would have to give this film the only logical grade possible which is a 4.5. Enjoy it on Netflix as we speak!
