loveSince the apparent arrival of Uber into the world, the world has since gone mad. Uber allows regular people to use their vehicles as Taxis in a attempt to make money for themselves. Well, this move has apparently pissed off a lot of people in the world who drive professional as Taxi drivers and in France they are firing back. All of the taxi drivers in France apparently are on strike over the inclusion of Uber into France and Courtney Love was caught in the middle of it. The widow of Kurt Cobain and former singer of Hole was arrived in France and was picked up by an Uber driver at the airport when their car was ambushed by a mob of angry taxi drivers. According to her account of the even on Twitter, she described the horrorific experience in detail. One tweet read, “they’ve ambushed our car and are holding our driver hostage. they’re beating the cars with metal bats. this is France?? I’m safer in Baghdad.” She goes into great detail about how she had finally escaped the horrific experience with the help of a man on a motorcycle. I don’t think shell be using Uber anytime soon in France, but the singer during her tweets did call out the French President François Hollande questioning his fellow Frenchmen’s actions and asked him to get his you know what to the airport to resolve the problem. To check out more of her experience including a video she posted, you can either go to who has all of the tweets or straight to her Twitter account here. Believe me, I understand why the Taxi drivers would be upset over losing business, but at the same time this is stepping way out of line. There is no need for violence in the world over something like this and I am not saying that because Courtney Love was in the car because no one should go through that experience. Be a little more competitive in price and maybe people wouldn’t use Uber. That is all I am saying.
