It’s still nice to know that there are artists out there who take the time to create music videos that capture the essence of their song or they are creating works of art to coincide with their song. It’s nice to know that because obviously the MTV days are over and some could say why bother do it at all, but not Marilyn Manson. The modern king of Shock Rock continues to defy the odds as he creates his modern piece of art in the form of the brand new music video for the track Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge which is often credited as the stand out track from The Pale Emperor, the latest effort from Manson. The new wave/blues mix is definitely a track that has caught the attention of many in the music world as it proves that Manson is still prevalent when others were counting him out of the rock scene. Many can listen to the track and imagine what visuals Manson could provide for the song, but in this video it’s a dirty Manson who sort of resembles an actual drug than a person metaphorically speaking. Is he the meth pipe? We could say yes due to the lights and smoke and the ash that covers his face, but one thing is for sure and that the song and video rock. Check it out below and be sure to check out Manson on his co-headlining show with The Smashing Pumpkins. Check out the tour dates below:
