I am a huge fan of horror movies and I love every kind of sub-genre that there is in horror like slasher, vampire, supernatural, and especially the zombie genre. In 1985, a film called Return Of The Living Dead was released and it introduced us to brain eating Zombies. You see before the release of this film, Zombies were known for just eating human flesh, but John Russo (who had worked with George Romero on Night Of The Living Dead) changed the game forever. The film starred some legends like Clu Gulager, James Karen, Thom Matthews, and Don Calfa to name a few. Besides the fact that the film was a success, it also had a soundtrack that became widely popular for featuring a lot of punk rock bands of the time like 45 Grave, The Flesh Eaters, Roky Erickson, The Cramps, The Damned, and today’s featured artist T.S.O.L. (True Sounds Of Liberty or The Statute Of Limitations). The band contributed the track Nothing For You which would be featured on their album Revenge a year later. I love the band’s sound on this track as they mix their punk roots with some rock in vein of The Ramones. While you check out the song below, check out the film as well.
