Since it’s Labor Day and hopefully everyone is having a fun and safe one, we are going to give you two Singles Of The Week because we feel like it. Last week, we featured Thrash Metal titans Slayer on the single of the week with Cast The First Stone (which came with a free download) and now we have yet another Slayer track that also comes with a free download. The band today has introduced the crushing track You Against You which stylistically sounds like an old school Slayer song because it’s fast, pulverizing, and in your face from beginning to end as they test the limits of tempo. This track has restored my faith in Slayer that the band cans till do it even without legendary member, the late Jeff Hanneman. Repentless is their first record without Jeff on guitar as well as it’s the first to feature Gary Holt and the first to feature Paul Bostaph on drums since 2001’s God Hates Us All. The album comes out this Friday (September 11TH) via Nuclear Blast and if you miss out on the download, never fear because they’ll release a limited 7 inch vinyl for it in January. As far as the record and Paul Bostaph are concerned, Kerry King had this to say, “People are going to be stoked when they hear what he [Bostaph] did on this record. I used to say God Hates was his Reign in Blood. The new one is his Reign in Blood.” Check out the track below:
