Chris Cornell is definitely one of my favorite lead singers to come out of that 90’s Seattle scene with Soundgarden, but now he is back with a solo venture. Chris is about to release his fourth solo album Higher Truth on September 18TH that was produced by Brendan O’Brien (Stone Temple Pilots, Jackyl). Chris recently unleashed a music video for the song Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart and I have to tell you that it’s awesome. There was a time when bands actually invested a lot of time and effort into music videos especially if there was a great visual story to go along with the music. Those were always my favorite kind of videos to watch like California Love by 2Pac and Dr. Dre and more recently the House Of The Rising Sun video by Five Finger Death Punch. In this video, Chris goes to the wild west as Eric Roberts (Best Of The Best) stars alongside Cornell in this video. Both Cornell and Roberts are two guys that are in jail awaiting the hangman for which it is judgement day. Eventually there is a twist in the end that sees one hang while the other is set free. Check out the video below and if you want to pre-order Higher Truth (Deluxe Edition) with bonus tracks, then go here. Below the video are the tour dates that Chris is heading on starting September 17TH.
