Krampus Greeting Card

Krampus Greeting Card

Since the trailer for Krampus was attached to The Visit in the theaters this weekend, that is all everyone has been talking about and I have never heard of Krampus. So, I had to look up exactly who Krampus was and it turns out this is a real thing that some people believe especially if you live in the German speaking Alpines. Apparently, in some of those regions he is a demon or devil, an anthropomorphic figure that accompanies Santa Claus and punishes the bad kids while Santa award the good ones. In some regions of Austria, he is just one of many that accompany old Saint Nick. Well, Legendary films is releasing a film called Krampus as this years holiday themed horror film. The film stars Adam Scott (Step Brothers) and Toni Collette as well as many others. The man behind the amazing Trick ‘R Treat Michael Dougherty is the brains behind this project so you know its going to be good. I watched the trailer for the film which starts off by showing you all of the things we hate about the time before Christmas day up until the chaos begins with the family. That is when Krampus comes to visit and the special effects look pretty darn good. This could be the horror film of the year in my opinion especially in a year that has been a little lacking so far. Check out the trailer below:
