For those of you that do not know Baroness, they are a kick ass rock group from Georgia that sound like a mix of stoner rock, sledge metal, and so much more. They are also known for having colors as their album titles like the Red Album, Yellow & Green, and their new one Purple which comes out December 18, 2015 via Abraxan Hymns. While their is still some time until the album drops (by the way it’ll make a great Christmas present), the band has given us a music video to enjoy for the mean time. The name of the song is Chlorine & Wine which starts off melodic and then the tempo gets turned up while keeping that melodic feel at times. The video for the song starts off with some images of flowers in purple before it cuts to the band in the studio as the video gives you an inside look into the studio to see how the band recorded the song. As far as the album Purple is concerned, the band commented saying, “We spent our time writing and refocusing our sound; we developed a deeper level of creative rapport with our new rhythm section, and tried to write a better record than we had ever imagined writing. In short, we are thrilled. We have never been as uniformly psyched-up by a record of ours as we are today.” Besides the announcement of the release date and the unveiling of the video, the band also announced that they would be heading out on tour. Singer John Baizley said, “We’ve been off tour for too long. It’s time for Baroness to start playing shows in the U.S. again. We’re doing a short run through the eastern half of the States, in small clubs, getting our new songs stage ready for 2016.  Who knows, maybe we’ll even throw in a few songs from the very early EPs and albums.  See you soon…”  Below the video, check out the tour dates.
