I just wanted to to start this article off by wishing every a Happy and Safe Halloween. For today’s Soundtrack Saturday song, I sat here wondering who I was going to pick for today’s entry on Halloween and it was only natural to pick a song from one of my favorite Horror films. In 1978, John Carpenter’s Halloween had lacked a score or soundtrack by the time they had finished the film. So, John basically grabbed a keyboard and he began to play one of the most iconic horror themes of all time which was basically a piano melody played in a 10/8 or “complex 5/4” meter. The song is haunting and to me it best represents Halloween and it’s a theme you can’t mess with either. That is why I chose it for today and for the fact that it is Halloween after all. So, check it out below an have a awesome Halloween.
