The other day, Megadeth unveiled a brand new single off their new album Dystopia called The Threat Is Real. The song and album are the first to feature Chris Adler of Lamb Of God on Drums and former Angra guitarist Kiko Loureiro. For the back Friday edition of Record Store Day, Megadeth also released this track on Vinyl, but once you listen to the track you are going to be blown away. The song is everything you would want to hear from Megadeth as it’s fierce, in your face, and reminds of me of Rust In Peace era Megadeth.Dave Mustaine is still writing his fierce politically driven lyrics of world destruction and it still sounds fresh. Dave Mustaine recently spoke to Full Metal Jackie about the new album saying, “I think that for the first time now, we’ve actually really embraced that part of us that made us a trashier band. A lot of it was how we were feeling and the way that we were looking at our lives at the time and just being – you know, instead of being disappointed – there’s a difference between having a bad situation and being depressed versus having a bad situation and being pissed and doing something about it.” Check out the track below and look out for Dystopia as it drops on January 22, 2016.
