For today’s Music Video Of The Week, I chose a band that I discovered for the first time at The Pop Killers Tour stop at The Fete Music Hall in Providence, Rhode Island. The band that I am talking about is San Francisco dark rock and roll band Death Valley High. In 2013, the band released the album Positive Euth which captures everything great from this band like their aggressive form of rock matched with the hypnotic vocals of their lead singer Reyka Osburn. The band is a force to be reckoned with and if you have not heard the band yet, get on board for one hellacious ride. The band released a music video for track How2Kill and the video is dark and cool at the same time. It has the performance based part where you see the band rocking out, but it also has a story attached to it as well. The video follows a boy who is kind of an outcast. He is picked on by kids his own age, his father, and what I assume are his babysitters. A mysterious ventriloquist dummy shows up and a demon is soon to follow. The demon starts to kill everyone around the boy forcing him to be the hero and face the demon. The video was directed by Kevin Loader and it’s an amazing looking video. Check it out below and check out Death Valley High.
