Cover Of The Week: Faith by Limp Bizkit

I have been noticing this year that George Michael is becoming one popular cat again considering he has music featured in films like Deadpool and Keanu. Back in 1987, George would release his hugest album of his career in Faith which would sell over 25 Million copies worldwide. In 1998, Nu-Metal titans Limp Bizkit would release the cover of the George Michael title track Faith which would essentially put the band on the map when they released the music video on MTV. When talking about the song choice Fred Durst once told Billboard, “I love George Michael and decided to cover Faith for fun. We like to do really aggressive versions of cheesy pop hits. I didn’t expect him to get busted in that bathroom but his misfortune actually helped us. We couldn’t ask for more of a buzz.” That is exactly what the band did as they added heavier guitars for the chorus and some heavy vocals as well at times. It was what the late 90’s and early 2000’s was all about. This was definitely one of my favorite Limp Bizkit covers and it till remains that. So, check out the track below:
