time bomb singleAt one time there was no one bigger in bringing back an element of Nu Metal than Hollywood’s own Hollywood Undead. Through all the band member changes and losses, the group is still here and they are looking to end 2019 in style as they gear up for the release of their sixth studio album New Empire, Vol. 1 on February 14, 2020 through their new label Dove & Grenade. The band has already unleashed the track Already Dead and now they are releasing their latest single Time Bomb which also happens to kick the album off. The group definitely grows in the new single, but it features that same kind of intensity that the band is known for which is nice to see that they haven’t lost that.Johnny 3 Tears talked about the album saying, “This album is our attempt at reimagining Hollywood Undead, not just a new sound for this release, but a new sound for the band altogether. Our goal from the outset was to make music that stands alone from our other albums, yet seamlessly fits with what we’ve made before. Building upon the old to create a new sound and a New Empire.” If you would like to pre-order the album, you can do so by clicking here. Otherwise, check out Time Bomb below:

kyle gassWe decided that we are going to be changing some things up here on the blog and one of the changes that we are doing is that instead of having two Music Videos of The Week, we will have one dedicated to each genre (still searchable by clicking the music video of the week tab). So, with that being said, we have our Rock Video Of The Week for all of you and it comes to us from Michigan’s own I Prevail. The band released their debut album Lifelines last year which features many amazing tracks from Scars all the way to Stuck In Your Head. The band who is still touring in support of the record decided that they wanted to release a video for the track Already Dead which is our featured Music Video this week. The video is special in a way because it features Tenacious D member Kyle Gass who logs into his computer to see the band performing on a chat of sorts. He begins by mocking everything the band does before he breaks out the big guns in Voodoo dolls. It’s a very fun music video and a cool experience for the band. GuitaristĀ Steve Menoian explains, “We wanted to make a video for “Already Dead” because it gets a great reaction live and is so much fun to play. When Kyle Gass agreed to collaborate with us, it became a bucket list dream come true.” Check out the video below and make sure to check out the band live.
