bvbIt’s Christmas Eve which means all of you should just about be getting into the Christmas spirit or else you’ll have the Krampus on your tail. Nevertheless, I know one band that has decided to get into the Christmas spirit and that band is the wildly popular Black Veil Brides. Last year around the same time, the band had unleashed a single on to the world by the name of The Outsider which had fans clinging on to the hopes of a new record in 2017. Now here we are and the band has just unleashed a new single entitled The Last One and has promised that an album will be released in 2018 by the name of Vale. The track starts off making you think that it’s going to be a piano driven track until the twin guitar duo of Jinxx and Jake Pitts take over in this hard charging high octane track. When talking about the album, Andy Biersack said, “The central narrative once again finds ‘The Wild Ones’ characters facing the challenge of moving on from the pain and anguish of their past and looking to a new chapter in their lives. This concept is one that is near to my heart and I believe will resonate with those that find themselves cast on the fringe of society.” The album will be released on January 12 and you can pre-order it here. The band is also heading out on the road in a co-headlining trek with Asking Alexandria and you can check out all the tour dates below.

She took to her Snapchat account (maitlandward if you want to follow her) and she posted those amazing pics that I have provided for you today. So, check them out and enjoy!!!

I had a lot of fun doing this countdown to Christmas for all of you guys as we shared some funny videos, songs, and other things as well. I just wanted to take the time to wish everyone all around the world a very Merry Christmas. I hope that you are taking the time to spend time with the ones you love because that is what this day is about. I also hope that everyone received everything they asked for as far as Christmas presents are concerned. I have a little Christmas present for all of you metal heads out there in the form of a song. What happens when you take one of the biggest voices of metal and match him together with one of the godfathers of metal? Well, you get a collaboration between Ronnie James Dio and Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath. The two got together for a project called Metal X-Mas and they did the song God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen. So sit back, relax, and rock out with some killer Christmas music from a couple of legends. Merry Christmas everyone.

Early in 2015, the wrestling world and it’s fans lost one of it’s most beloved figures in legend Rowdy Roddy Piper who was one of the great personalities wrestling ever had. Well while I was cruising through the internet super highway, I discovered this video Caroling With Roddy Piper courtesy of Uproxx that was produced by Royal Canadian Air Farce, a comedy group from Canada. The video features Roddy Piper doing his own version of the 12 Days Of Christmas with a big fan. The beginning of the video will entice you to stay and watch as Piper is so warm in his greeting. The video is hilarious as you don’t know what to expect, but when you see it, it’s definitely classic Piper at his best. There is only one day until Christmas as today is Christmas Eve so let’s enjoy it with the Late Roddy Piper.

die hard 2Last year around this time for Ass Whoopin Wednesdays, we decided to go with a movie that kicked ass on Christmas in Die Hard and to continue the tradition, we chose the sequel in Die Hard 2: Die Harder. It’s one year later after the incident in the first film and the McClains are doing fine. John (Bruce Willis) is in Washington DC waiting for his wife Holly (Bonnie Bedelia) to fly in for Christmas. Everything is going smooth until John notices something very wrong at the airport and before you know a group of militants take over. All the militants want is a prisoner on board a military plane and all the airport has to do is obey and everything will be fine. What they don’t realize is that John McClain is at the airport and he is about to try and save the day once again. The film also stars William Atherton (Ghostbusters) as Dick Thornburg, Franco Nero (Django) as General Esperanza, William Sader (The Green Mile) as Col. Stuart, John Amos (Coming To America) as Major Grant, Dennis Franz (NYPD Blue) as Chief Lorenzo, Don Harvey (The Untouchables) as Garber, and the film was directed by Renny Harlin (Cliffhanger). Before we get into the review of the film, let’s check out some stats:

die hard 2 stats

die hard 2 shotOne of my favorite line sin the film comes at the very end and Holly asks Jon, “Why does this always happen to us.” I think it’s just such a great way to cap it all off. Alright as far as the stats are concerned, John McClain has 26 kills (which is a big jump from the first film) with about 2/3 coming almost all in one shot. He has no origin story to speak of in this film and his wife once again is still his love interest and technically no close to him is hurt, but Holly is in danger. The big bss is definitely defeated and you should see how it’s done. This was such an amazing action movie from Bruce Willis and the enemy was definitely a little sneakier than they were in the first film, but did you notice a Pre-Terminator 2 Robert Patrick in the film? He works in the film as one of the bad guys and he definitely meets his maker courtesy of John McClain and you gotta love the fact that they used the legend Franco Nero in the film too. Some of the action in this film is a little outrageous and beefed up for the amusement of audiences everywhere (just check out the scene where I got this pic for this paragraph from). The acting in the film is amazing and William Sadler does a great job as your villain and the film has plenty of twists in it as well that keep you going. It’s almost Christmas Eve and it wouldn’t be the Christmas season with any Die Hard in our lives. I am giving the film four fists out of five for a final grade.

metallicaThere are only a few days left until Christmas day and we have something special for all of you. If you are a fan of thrash metal legends Metallica then you are going to want to hear this piece of news. To celebrate the Christmas season, the band or particularly James Hetfield and his cat Tabs have unleashed a snippet of a brand new Metallica song. It’s only like ten seconds of the song, but it pretty much gives you an idea of where the band is going with their new music. The only thing is hat in order to view the video, you have to be a member of the Met Club which is Metallica’s fan club. Never fear though, it is free to sign up so head to the link here and sign up so you can hear it.

a christmas cheersFor today’s Countdown to Christmas, we have a very special video for all of you from one of the biggest metal bands in history. There is only 4 days left (that’s including today) and Iron Maiden have unleashed a cool gift to all their fans to help celebrate the fact that 2015 was a great year. The band’s latest record Book Of Souls was a huge success so the band recorded a song and a video to help celebrate the Christmas season with A Christmas Cheers. In the animate video, the Book Of Souls Mayan Eddie isn’t familiar with Christmas, but he is soon taught by all the different Eddie mascots of the past when they all show up. Artist Val Andrade helped create the video for the band which even features they saying happy holidays in many different languages as well and expect to see the band live in 2016 too. Check out the video below and celebrate the holidays with the Eddies.
