whats wrong with peopleThe first time I watched Sebastian Maniscalco was on a stand up special he had on Showtime and he instantly became one of my favorite comedians because I could easily relate to everything he talked about. So, for today’s Tuesday Stand Up, I went to Netflix and I found one of Sebastian’s comedy specials from 2012 called What’s Wrong With People? The Special was taped at the Margaret A. Webb Theater in Santa Ana, California back in January of 2012 and it’s basically Sebastian trying to make sense of what is wrong with society today. He takes traditions he grew up with in his Italian-American home and he compares it to how people are living today and do not be surprised if you can relate to any of it. He’ll tackle everything from going to the grocery store to why you can’t even answer the door for anyone today. He talks about jury duty to going to the club and why kids aren’t really as special as you think they are. Sebastian just can’t go anywhere without getting upset about how people act today and he airs it out completely.

sebastian maniscalcoAs I said in the above paragraph, I can totally relate to what Sebastian talks about because people him and me, we grew up in a different time where no one got a ribbon for coming in fifth place and you were never proud to show your parents because it was either first or nothing. One of my favorite segments besides the obvious your kid isn’t that special was the night club segment. He goes through how it differs from yesterday to today where guys basically had respect for woman where as today, they are just constantly on top of women. One of the other funniest segments in my opinion was when Sebastian talked about teaching his immigrant father how to use the internet because I am doing the same thing, but with my mother. The worst thing I did was sign her up on Facebook. The other great thing about his act is the facial expressions he makes to further emphasize the point he is trying to make is gold. If you get a chance, i definitely recommend that you check out Sebastian Maniscalco anywhere you can. I am giving this special an A- for a final grade.
