It’s 2018 which means it’s a new year and we still have a ton of states to visit to accomplish our goal of 50 bands from 50 states for the Unsigned Band Of The Week post. We have already visited 32 states which by my calculations means that we only have 18 states left to go and the one that we chose for this week has been my most desired state to visit. We are travelling all the way to the City Of Sin in Las Vegas for a band that has been soldiering on for sometime in Bipolar. Bipolar is a band that epitomizes the ideals of being a DIY (Do It Yourself) band as they first formed in 2003 in Sacramento, California. After some years together in the band, Charlie and Brian Hanks decided to relocate the band to Las Vegas in 2008 for a fresh start. They soon added Jaisen Hinds and Kevin Lemus on guitars respectively, and the final piece to the puzzle in bassist Chris Kmit. The band has since been hard at work as they recorded five EP’s and one full length album giving them quite the catalog. The track we are checking out from them is also a music video that the band produced for their song Callow from their Amor Fati disc. The track starts off sounding like a lot of their influences from the Nu-Metal world, but when it kicks in, holy shit does this song kick ass. It’s intense in your face, and Charlie’s vocals are kick ass. That girl can scream and she can hang with the best of them. Check them out on Facebook, Spotify, Youtube, and even Twitter. Check out the video below!

vault7Today, we are on quite the adventure where we travel to a state you probably thought I would not be hitting up, but we have quite the band for you. Last week, we were in New Mexico and for this week, we are heading back up north to the state of Idaho for this week’s Unsigned Band Of The Week which is Boise’s own Vault7. Vault7 is one of the hardest working bands on the scene as the band has played shows with the likes of Puddle Of Mudd, Anthrax, Death Angel, Bobaflex, and Like A Storm to name a few. The track that I chose for you guys comes off the bands self titled debut album and it’s called Come To The Deep. The track is hard charging and it reminds me of everything I loved about hard rock as lead vocalist/guitarist Nathan Polnow has this unbelievable way to mix in a little Geoff Tate in his voice, but with a harder edge. This is a killer track from an awesome band that you guys need to check out now. Check out their Facebook page and give them a like and while you’re at it check out their ReverbNation site as well.

635297If you knew the process I have been going through to find unsigned metal and rock bands from all over the country, most would probably quit, but I am determined. We have visited a lot of states already, but now we are about to go back to southwest United States as we park the tour bus in Albuquerque, New Mexico to check out a Blackened Death Metal act that took me some time to find. The band I am talking about goes by the name of Deforme who in 2016 released their first full length album in God-Like Strength. The track That I am showcasing for you guys off the album is the seventh track Dianetics which right when it kicks in you will notice the brilliance of the duel guitar attack as well as the amazing bass playing from Blair Robey. Juan Martinez’s vocals are as intense as the lyrics and the music itself as he helps drive the song forward. These guys need to be snatched up and signed as they have proven themselves playing with such heavies as Overkill, Nile, Soulfly, and so many more. Check them out on Facebook, give them a like, and check out their music. Check out the track Dianetics below:

serenI have explained my mission with this post week after week as far as exposing new bands on this blog, but I have a new mission. I have a music video show called The Monster Hour that I am looking to bring online and I want to do it with unsigned bands who deserve the exposure. I’ll have more information up soon as far as that is concerned. Right now, we need to get back to the bands and this week are leaving Seattle and we are heading to the Mile High city Denver, Co to check out the band Seren. Seren is a Progressive Death Metal band that recently just released their second full length effort in Ashes. The song that I chose to check out from the new album is the track Ancestral Ghost which is an epic 10 minutes long, but it showcases exactly what the band can do with all the tempo changes and the intricate changes in the music which leads us on a musical odyssey. If you are prepared to go on this epic journey, then I suggest you check out the album which can be found on the band’s Bandcamp page and you can like their Facebook page as well. These guys are great musicians and they deserve the listen.

ghostbloodIt has been our mission with the Unsigned Band Of The Week post to do two things with one being to try and give some exposure to some deserving bands and the other being to have a band from all 50 states. I think that we have done a pretty good job so far and after covering Michigan last week, we are going all the way to the west coast for our very next band. When most people think of Seattle, Washington, they think of Grunge music, Heart, and Queensryche, but they fail to recognize the diversity in the scene. The band that we chose for today can be best described as, “Gore-splattered ghostly thrash-blackening death-blood music from Seattle! Smash, burn, and eat the dead!” which is a direct quote from the heavy metal power trio GHOSTBLOOD. These guys are the real deal as they mix in punishing elements of thrash metal (maybe even a little Crossover?), Black, and even death metal all in a rage filled harmony on the track I provided for you today in Eviscerama. The track is amazing and is leaving me wanting to listen to more. So, if you want to check out more from the band, pay their Facebook page a visit and give it a like. Otherwise, check out the track below:

23795720_1496729123767510_8583172679582363377_nIt’s always been a priority of mine to give just as much attention to unsigned bands as I have with the nationally signed acts. With all of that being said, the artist that I chose for today’s Unsigned Band Of The Week puzzles me as to why they are not signed to a label already. Last week, we were in Indianapolis and we have gotten back on the tour bus to head north to Lansing, Michigan which is the home of this week’s band in Bog Wraith. Bog Wraith describes themselves as a Deathcore/ Death Metal act that is truly going to be on to bigger and better things. They could be the shot of life the genre needs at the moment with kick ass music they are putting out and the kicker is they formed in 2016. The track I chose for you guys today is a track that the band did with fellow Michigan metal veteran Trevor Strnad of The Black Dahlia Murder. The track is called All Hail and it’s bone crushing stuff. It’s an all out assault on your ear drums and I absolutely love it as these guys are now on my radar. All I need now is for them to have a music video and I’ll play it on my show! Check them out on Facebook and Bandcamp where you can download the track as well.

It has been quite a long time since the last time we did an Unsigned Band Of The Week on the blog and we are going to try and change that. We are not going to stop here until we’ve listened to a band from all 50 states in the United States Of America. We have already heard bands from New England (all six states), Tennessee, Pennsylvania, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Arizona, and much more. So, we got back on the tour bus and today we were on our way to Indianapolis, Indiana to check out the rock band American Bombshell. I have always said that there isn’t enough great rock bands in the world right now and that is what American Bombshell is trying to do. They are trying to bring back legitimacy to the scene and get it rockin again like the good ol’ days. Why did these five individuals decide to band together, they claim, “it was the love of pure unadulterated, unfiltered, bad ass, bad attitude, dirty, broke, drunken, sexy Rock N Roll that got them to band together.” The song that we are checking out today from them is the track entitled My Drug which is exactly what the doctor ordered if you’re looking for that dirty, swagger filled rock and roll. This is definitely a band that should be headlining across America and you need to check them out. Check them out on ReverbNation, Facebook, or through their website. Check out the track below:
