I looked back at some of the comics that I have chosen and I noticed that we hadn’t done a title from Marvel Comics yet and this week’s pick is a head scratcher even to me, but I loved the cover and decided to go with it. This week’s comic book of the week is Ziggy Pig-Silly Seal #1 which follows to former friends and partners in a TV show that had a falling out. You see Silly struck it rich with an investment and jealousy took over, but the two have been separated for years with one in money and the other in the dumps. That all changes when Doctor Doom requests their presence in Lateveria, but can these two former best friends get along together long enough to make out of there alive? There is only one way to find out and that is you can check out this book that was written by Frank Tieri (Harley Quinn and Her Gang Of Harleys) and John Cerilli (Galacta: Daughter Of Galactus) while the artwork was done by Jacob Chabot (The Mighty Skullboy Army).

One of the reasons I chose this one was because of a comic book DC Comics came out with in 2017 with The Ruff and Reddy Show and I thought that this one was going to be Marvel’s take on a classic cartoon only to find out that at one time this was a Marvel Comic back in the 1940’s when they first appeared in Krazy Komics #1 (1942). It’s exactly like Roger Rabbit too where one of the characters is a complete moron while the other is obviously the brains, but the brains is trying to kill his old friend. So, it’s a wild and zany story that has plenty of comedy and there is even a nice twist at the end that sets up future issues. It’s the hook at the end that makes you want to come back for more. I definitely enjoyed the artwork in the comic that kind of brings this world to life where it’s the norm to have Howard The Duck sitting next to Power Man (not in the comic, just an example) at a comic con. I like a lot of crazy kinds of comics, but this is worth at least one read if nothing else. Check it out and check out my grades below:
