While Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers play The Sinclair tonight (April 21ST) in Boston, MA, there is a city that is not going to be enjoy Laura’s new infectious anthemic Punk like track and video for I Hate Chicago. Hopefully Chicago has a sense of humor because it comes from a good place. The track comes off Laura’s (Against Me!) debut solo album Bought To Rot and the music video for the track is equally interesting as they parody the classic early 90’s comedy Wayne’s World which was based out of Chicago. In the video, it’s known as Jane’s World and the characters Laura and Jane are played by Abby Pierce and Christine Vrem-Ydstie respectfully and it’s hilarious as they nail the parody to a T as they remind me of how much I miss the real duo. They include everything in their from the Bohemian Rhapsody car ride scene to the famous No Stairway To Heaven Allowed scene. Check out the video below and make sure you check out Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers.

As always, we are giving you the fans two music videos of the week with one being on the rock side of life while the other is more on the metal side. What we have here for you right now is from the rock side and it’s American punk rock band Against Me! which features transgender singer Laura Jane Grace. Some of the best videos are the ones that have something visual to glue us to the screen like a story, etc. That is exactly what Against Me! did with their new video for the track 333 which is off their upcoming record Shape Shift With Me (due out September 16TH). The video is very cinematic and it was directed by actress Ione Skye, who all of you most likely remember as John Cusack’s love interest in the classic 80’s film Say Anything. I know her for that film and one of my favorite 80’s films River’s Edge. The video follows a 60′ housewife (played by Orange Is The New Black’s Natasha Lyonne) who seems to be living the good life, but man is she obsessed with cleaning. The video also stars Bates Motel star Andrew Howard, but not only is the video great, but the song is good too. Skye talked about the video saying, “This project attracted a lot of talented people: an incredible director of photography, producer, costume designer, editor and set designer. I felt very supported and inspired.” Check it out below:

A little while ago everyone suspected that Chris Adler of Lamb Of God was the new Slipknot drummer until he squashed those rumors. So, we were left wondering when was Slipknot going to reveal that info and who would be the man to replace the legendary Joey Jordison who may have been booted out for substance abuse issues. Well, Against Me! lead singer Laura Jane Grace may have revealed that identity in an angry Twitter post. Check out exhibit A:

exhibit a

Does that mean that former Madball and Against Me! drummer Jay Weinberg, son of E Street band drummer Max Weinberg is the new drummer in Slipknot? Well, if exhibit A is legit, then it may be all the proof we need to prove that he is the new drummer in Slipknot. Well, if Laura Jane Grace didn’t sound bitter enough in exhibit A, check out all these angry tweets that she posted on Twitter right afterwards for Exhibit B:

She doesn’t all at all sound angry or bitter when she tweeted those last night. Well, if Slipknot wanted to keep it a surprise for the fans, Laura Jane Grace ruined it for everyone. We still have to wait for a conformation or a response from Weinberg on Twitter to see if he clears it up. For now, we can speculate as we always will until the band themselves confirm it.
